Understand the Logic Behind the Machine
Logan Engineers' PLC Fundamentals Training Program is designed for maintenance technicians, mechanics, electricians, and industrial personnel who need a practical understanding of PLC-controlled machinery.
Rather than focusing on turning maintenance personnel into PLC programmers, our training emphasizes the skills technicians need on the plant floor: understanding how a PLC-controlled machine operates, following the control sequence, interpreting inputs and outputs, reading ladder logic, and systematically troubleshooting equipment problems.
Participants work through practical exercises designed to connect PLC logic with real electrical components and machine behavior.
Instead of simply seeing an input on a computer screen, technicians learn to understand the complete relationship between the field device, wiring, PLC input, ladder logic, PLC output, and physical machine response.

For company-sponsored programs, training can transition on-site during the final portion of the program, allowing participants to apply the concepts they've learned to their facility's actual equipment, electrical drawings, PLC systems, and machine processes where appropriate.
